Actor. Singer. Dancer.I began acting at the age of 12 and have been dancing for many, many years too- my training began when I attended the Westinghouse Arts Academy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I continued my professional training in New York City, obtaining my BFA in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College. I have studied vocal performance since age 11, most notably from Amy Justman (Company, Phantom, Carousel, In Transit, A Gentleman's Guide..., Irving Berlin's White Christmas).
Previous roles in productions include Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening (musical) at Marymount Manhattan College, Schroeder in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown at Westinghouse Arts Academy, Josh in 9 to 5: The Musical at Westinghouse Arts Academy, and Mrs. Bumbrake in Peter and the Starcatcher at Westinghouse Arts Academy. |
Music Director. Musician.I began studying piano at the age of 8 after my family discovered I could play by ear. I soon started playing for church services in my area. I began my professional studies in New York City at the New York Conservatory of Music studying classical piano under Jerzy Stryjniak (one of the world's leading interpreters of Chopin), then jazz piano at Third Street Music School Settlement. I use Logic Pro, MainStage, and Finale.
Co-founder of shookandgearyproductions, a production company which produces annual review-style cabaret's throughout New York City. I have music directed many musicals and many more cabaret shows, and have even played regionally at the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre in Missouri. Some of my favorite projects include the student production of A Chorus Line at Marymount Manhattan College (Music Director), and their studio production of In Transit: An A Capella Musical (Associate Music Director). |
Writing. Composing.Need a collaborator? Reach out!!
There is no limit to my composing and lyricism! I have studied music production as well as lyricism and composition under several prolific figures in the New York City music scene. Neal Kirkwood (jazz composer), and Katie Buchanan (songwriter / producer) are two of the most notable figures which I have studied under. I continue to collaborate with Kirkwood in his 'Kerouac Chorale', a jazz choir which performs musical arrangements of Jack Kerouac's literary canon in conjunction with Kirkwood's Big Band.
